Become a ZA registrar

What is a registrar?

Registrars are internet service providers who sell domain names to the public. There are thousands of registrars worldwide who play an important role by acting as a channel for the development of namespace.

Registrars play an important role in growing .za because they interface with the public and provide a channel through which people register .za names.

Currently, most .za registrars are accredited to register domain names in Second Level Domains under ZACR’s operation (i.e. co.za, net.za, org.za and web.za). The ZACR registrar-accreditation process allows qualifying registrars to interface with ZACR-operated SLDs in a simple, automated manner to manage their domain names.

There are different registrar accreditation windows every year to allow for thorough evaluation and processing of accreditation applications.
